Where would you take your five dream official visits for football?

Posted by admin | April 12, 2008 .

Where would you take your five dream official visits for football?Everyone dreams of the opportunity to play Division I football at a major school. But obviously with the amount of scholarships and other talented players throughout the country, it is not going to be an easy feat. But some players do have the luxury of picking and choosing any school they want to play for in the county.

If you were a top recruit and you had your choice to make five official visits, where would it be? Obviously I would love to see some great comments on this post to where you would go. But for me, I have decided that I would talk about my five official visits and why I would head there in this post. But again, please comment where you would go.

1.) USC
With how much USC has dominated games over the last few years, this would definitely be a place to visit. They have hand picked all of their recruits in the past and are likely going to continue that into the future. Until someone stops them, why would they not continue to recruit nationally? This would be a great school to visit.

2.) Florida
The success, weather, and girls that Florida has would be tough to at least take a visit to. The Gators seem to be the best out of the big three schools in state (Miami and Florida State being the others). If I was an offensive player, it would be great to get a chance to play in the Urban Meyer system.

3.) Texas
Head coach Mack Brown has one of the best jobs in the country due to the fact that they rarely have to go out of state to recruit kids. With the tradition of Texas football, you are going to have to be a great player elsewhere to hear from the Longhorns. They also seem to have the Class of 2009 basically wrapped up because they can almost pick and choose players.

4.) Hawaii
Who would not want to spend a weekend in Hawaii that gets paid for? With June Jones gone, the team has lost some of its mystique. But the location would be very tempting to at least visit.

5.) Ohio State
The Buckeyes may be the only school on this list that plays in cold weather but their tradition certainly trumps that negative. This school has continued to produce NFL talent and who would not want to play with Terrelle Pryor in coming years?

So where would you head for official visits if you were the top recruit in the country?

    I’m with Brian… Notre Dame equates to 5! :)

    Seriously:

    1) Notre Dame – Tradition, atmospshere, and academics
    2) Alabama – there fans are awesome
    3) Michigan – playing The Big House would be great
    4) Oklahoma – good fans, great tradition
    5) Boise State – The smurf turf!

I really do like your choices 2-4. Some very traditionally solid programs there.
