National Champion vs. Location during the football recruiting process
Legacy (Colorado) defensive end Nick Kasa recently ended the recruiting process a few weeks ago when he committed to Florida. After making the decision, the Gators took home the BCS National Title. But even with that honor, this senior was having second thoughts about the importance of staying home.
So instead of traveling the country to play for a team that has won the National Title in two of the last three seasons, Kasa decommitted from Florida and instead committed to Colorado. This just shows how the importance of staying close to home is for some recruits. Click here to see his recruiting profile but for athletes out there, keep this in mind before deciding on a school across the country. Location should be a vital factor when all is said and done and it was for a standout like Kasa.
