Miscellaneous Athletic Recruiting Ramblings - 6/29/2008Thank Again
While the month has not officially ended, it has been a great stretch once again for Recruiting-101.  As I have said before, I cannot thank the users of this site enough for visiting and checking out the content.  This site is to help educate readers out there during the journey of the recruiting process.  I am never going to charge jaw dropping fees but just want to help get families through the recruiting process.  If you can, please help spread the word regarding this site and get it in front of others going through the recruiting journey.

Articles to keep an eye on from this past week:
Part 1 - What role should your high school coach play in the athletic recruiting process?
The cost of the athletic recruiting process
When can Division II schools recruit me for athletics?
How much football recruiting interest can I receive as a sophomore?

Football Position Recruiting PDF
I know I have talked about this before but I really do plan on eventually putting together a football recruiting PDF that breaks down recruiting position by position.  Yes, there will be a small charge (Not more than $5) but the information in this e-book will be well worth it.  With a vacation coming up shortly, I am unsure when I will be able to get it done.  However, this is something that could really help during the recruiting process from an information stand point.

Andy Staples
I have mentioned him here before but one outstanding writer that I would recommend checking out is Andy Staples of SI.com.   Click here for his archives but his work is definitely worth reading.  While it is not always advice for the recruiting process, it involves many stories about the recruiting process and definitely could not hurt to check out.  He does an outstanding job that I might as well push his work.

Another blog to read
The reason that this site was created was to help users learn more about the recruiting process.  I have found another similar site that I felt needed to be shared.  It is a blog from NCSA.  For those curious, NCSA stands for National Collegiate Scouting Association.  Overall, they have a number of their staff posting on the blog so it is updated often.  Keep in mind that they may try selling their recruiting service (Nothing wrong with that but just needed to mention it) but they do a good job.  Click here to check it out.
